A Laser-Induced Periodic Surface Structure (LIPSS) that has a shorter period than the laser wavelength is induced by femtosecond laser irradiation. We are taking on clarifying the formation mechanism, controlling its structure, and utilizing this phenomenon to improve the functionality of devices.

We are working on developing materials for next-generation semiconductor devices. To achieve high-performance devices, we aim to establish substrate and crystal growth techniques for producing high-quality crystals.
